Watford will play Coventry City in a pre-season friendly but it will take place at Boreham Wood's Meadow Park rather than Vicarage Road.

Beppe Sannino's Golden Boys will take on Steven Pressley's Sky Blues on Wednesday, July 30 with kick-off at 7.30pm.

Tickets for the match will be £16 for a seat, £12 for an adult standing and £8 concession/under-16/OAP standing. They can be bought from Boreham Wood's box office website now and Watford's ticket website towards the end of June.

Watford traditionally only play one game at Vicarage Road during pre-season, usually their final first team match, due to regeneration work on the pitch and they face Udinese at the stadium on Saturday, August 2.

The Hornets development team's game with Boreham Wood has been brought forward a day to Monday, July 28.

it's a rip off, 2 adults & 1 kid is £40 for a pre season friendly.

Holy sheep's sh1t £16??? I only pay £23 when I go to Celtic Park in need of a live football hit. that's unrealistic, especially for those with kids. I'm guessing the attendance will be in double figures then

Why would it be? It's not as though Cov are going to make tens of thousands from the attendance money

Callum Wilson is one of their best young forwards. We havent signed him and nor could we afford him (unless deeney left) so ignore the posts above (for now)!

Bournemouth have money to spend and I hear they've had a 7 figure sum rebuffed anyway
