Rotherham United boss Steve Evans admits he felt for Leyton Orient after the Millers snatched promotion at Wembley following their penalty shootout victory.
The O's missed out on a place in the Championship yesterday after losing on penalties and Evans had some consoling words for Orient boss Russell Slade.
When asked if he sympathised with them, Evans said: "Absolutely. I thought they were terrific as well. I said in the lead up to the game that it could go to the last kick. When you have the same points return from 46 matches and you play against them and lose by one and win by a goal it shows that.
"The way the teams play they like to attack, play 4-4-2 and try to move the ball around. Russell knows what I think of him and doesn't need me to say it publicly. He's a good man and like me he works hard and stays away from his family in the week so he can put more hours in.
"I know a lot of the Leyton Orient players and they will be devastated as I would be if I was in their place. But of course you feel for them."
