About time they sorted the Pozzo Cup, to be rotated between the 3 countries. Would love to see Udinese at the Vic

It would be good if the squad was sorted prior to this trip, rather than add-ons after, which mean there not fit or injured. Let's hit the ground running next season.

Not a good move for me . This will be more of a holiday . Need to work on fitness so we don't leak so many late goals. I would be more in favour of British army training as we used to do under GT. I remember watching the players running up and down the hill at Woodside and you could see the pain in there face . Very fit side . Had plenty left in the tank in the closing minutes.

Have you seen the terrain in Udine? It's in the mountains.

Totally agree. Over the last two seasons our stamina has been poor at the endof season and for last 20 minutes within games. Conceded too many late goals. One of the few criticisms of Zola was not working players enough Iin training. Hope Sannino gets them running up the Italian Alps. Modern footballers have it easy. Ronaldo hauled off last night after 9 minutes due to muscle fatigue! Enough said. Luv the Horns and lets get 'Super Matt' back!

that's a great idea, which for the usual rubbish on these comment sections is a nice change.

I'm utterly unconvinced by this. A nice holiday to reward them for a season of tripe.

Cheers...Would not only bring a 'competetive' edge to the pre-season friendly, but also a great marketing opportunity for intra club selling of merchandise.

How many supporters would make a trip to Italy or Spain to watch the orns take on both of these teams over a weekend?

Sean Dyche believes in similar tough pre season training.
The players were moaning at the time, but he joined in with them to show how it is done - what a guy!
And look how strong and fit they were all season. Just four defeats, very few late goals conceded, and the glory of the Premiership at the end of his rainbow.
We done Dychey.

Nice clip on You Tube when Ken Furphy took the team in the sixties to the Lake District. Sleeping in tents running across the fells, cooking their own food on camp fires. Dear old Pat Malloy giving the wake up call in the morning. Can't see this lot doing anything like that but it would do them the world of good.

Guys last year the players didn't come back till the beginning of July when the season started a week earlier. This time they get two weeks extra compared to last year with the season starting on the 9th August. It will not be a jolly.

Only gripe is that they should be doing 6 weeks of intensive training- too may are unfit, and play catch up during the season, when it is too late.

Hope a shrink is involved as well- too many late goals due to lack of bottle

Not a problem with the squad in Italy- land of 4 world cups, not 1

COYH!

Could do it like the Emirates Cup with Watford, Udinese, Granada and a guest club say from Germany played over a weekend...2 games on the Saturday and the Final on the Sunday...
