Joel Ekstrand and Marco Cassetti are available for Watford’s clash against Huddersfield Town on Saturday but the Hornets look set to go into their last match of the season without seven players.

Swedish international Ekstrand missed the midweek loss at Charlton Athletic due to an ankle injury but he is set to return for the Golden Boys' final Championship fixture of the campaign.

Cassetti was also absent for Tuesday’s defeat but he is back in contention after serving a one-match suspension.

However, Almen Abdi (knee) will miss the game while Lewis McGugan also has a knee problem and is ruled out.

Manuel Alumina (Achilles) and Davide Faraoni (hip) are sidelined while Fernando Forestieri and Chu-Young Park (both toe) are long term absentees.

Albert Riera was sent off against Charlton and he is suspended for Saturday’s game.

Both sides have little to play for at Vicarage Road and Hornets head coach Beppe Sannino was asked if he would use the match as a chance to field younger players, such as striker Alex Jakubiak.

The Italian said he is likely to make a few surprise selections but when pressed further, replied: “If I say, it’s not a surprise.”
