Watford have confirmed they are still in negotiations with talented striker Ogo Obi - who was a reported target for Arsenal and Liverpool - regarding signing a scholarship.
The Hornets announced the names of their first-year scholars for next season in their Ipswich Town match-day programme on April 19 but Obi was not listed.
Panos Armenakas, Jacob Cook, Andrew Eleftheriou, Michael Folivi, Max Makaka, Brandon Mason, Charlie Rowan and Connor Stevens have all joined the scholarship programme.
But when asked about Obi's status, Watford confirmed they were still in talks with the 16-year-old about signing a scholarship.
Last summer Obi scored ten goals in five games during the Milk Cup Junior Section to win the Golden Boot, which resulted in a couple of national newspapers claiming Arsenal and Liverpool were interested in the then 15-year-old.
