A Watford Legends XI were beaten 4-3 by a Wealdstone Legends side at Grosvenor Vale on Sunday.
The Hornets’ team included the club’s all-time top-scorer Luther Blissett, 1990s midfield pair Richard Johnson and Micah Hyde and 1999 play-off final hero Allan Smart.
Alan Palmer took charge of the Watford XI which also included Gary Philips, Alan Paris, Steve Terry, Ian Richardson, Dave Johnson and Neil Price.
Richard Elderfield and Dave Fox, who run teams at Northwood FC, also played for the Hornets.
Wealdstone boss Gordon Bartlett, whose side celebrated winning the Ryman Premier 24 hours earlier, was in the dugout for the hosts.
In front of a crowd of around 250, an own goal and a strike from Smart were cancelled out by the Stones who led 3-2 at half time.
Johnson netted a penalty for the Hornets in the second period but Wealdstone added a fourth goal to their total.
However, Watford had a chance to level the contest from the spot.
Johnson, who was celebrating his 40th birthday, stepped up but he missed and Wealdstone saw out the remainder of the match to record victory.
