Beppe Sannino believes Watford’s performance at Queens Park Rangers was their best since he took over, despite what the scoreboard said at the end of the match. But who was the stand-out individual?
The Hornets controlled possession for large parts of the game and created several openings, although they did lack the clinical edge needed during several moves.
They did give away a host of needless fouls but on the whole were defensively resolute. Queens Park Rangers’ goals came from a direct free-kick and a counter-attack when the Hornets had committed men forward.
It was hard to pick out a player who didn’t perform well but who was the best?
