Who was your Watford man of the match against Ipswich Town?

Albert Riera, who scored the first goal, is one of the options in our man-of-the-match ballot. But does someone else deserve the accolade? Picture: Action Images

Several impressive individual performances helped Watford secure a 3-1 win over Ipswich Town but who was your pick of the bunch?

Gabrielle Angella was imperious in the first half and although he made mistakes in the second, continued to perform well.

His centre back partner Tommie Hoban was announced as man of the match at Vicarage Road and made some excellent challenges during a fine display.

Daniel Tozser emphasised his importance to Watford with another fine showing and helped create two of the goals.

The other goal came through the right foot of Albert Riera who produced a classy display at left wing back.

With only five options on our ballot system, we have selected the four players above but there were other good performances so you may believe someone else deserves the accolade.

I nominate the whole team. We outplayed Ipswich in every department today. There were so many really good displays it would be unfair to highlight just one player. Special mention must go to Manuel who quite literally kept us in the game with a breathtaking save. From that moment on we never looked back and took the game to them.

As an aside I spoke to Beppe during the week and asked him if he would be here next season. He said that he very much wanted to be and expected to be at Watford next year. After that display I see no reason why he shouldn't.

Great team performance from the team. Tought Angela was dominant throughout. Hope he stays at watford next season as he could easily play in the premie league. Only negative was the clearance kick from Almunia that lead to the goal. Was a poor kick and very poor goal to concede. But he made up with a great save moments later by tipping the ball onto the bar.

Thought Riera showed real class today. Was disappointed to see him starting instead of Pudil before the match but boy was I wrong his distribution and positional play was excellent today. Real class performance from him as was Tozser. Solid performances from Angella, Hoban and Abdi. Faraoni has improved dramatically over the last 3 - 4 matches especially defensively. McGugan is a frustrating player - often lazy but he does make things happen and worked well with Riera today.

Gotta be Tommie Hoban for me. Everyone played very well but I picked him because he's just back from a long term injury and I'm pretty sure he was the youngest player we fielded, correct me if I'm wrong. He also played very well. People criticise his passing-he's a centre back, not Pirlo, and is still young

Not sure I totally agree. Abdi for me. He is at the heart of the midfield, quietly goes around his business but makes us tick. Thought he was excellent yesterday

Agree with these comments.
Hard on Pudil but pleased to see he got a good reception when he came on. For me Tozser was MOM by a mile - he has made such a difference since he arrived. If we can keep him & get Abdi fully fit for nest season we could be in for some real quality performances from the team. Riera would be nice but suspect that Udinese may want him in Italy - especially based on yesterday's performance.
I hope Troy resists any offers. Another 20+goals in a team at the top of the Championship must be better than sitting on a bench in the Premiership and hopefully he would get his rewards (and a big pay rise) the following season with us. Also do not think that he is the finished article yet and would benefit from another season at this level.

Whats the chance of us signing Toszer on a permanent deal? Really hope to sign him as he has made a big difference to my team. Also is there a chance of signing Vydra for next season? We need pace up front.

Agreed Williams was outstanding but petulant. Memories of tearing us apart for Palace last season.
