Watford's ticket office were reporting sales of season-ticket renewals as having passed 7,000 when the Watford Observer went to press yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.

Hornets’ fans have up to and including after the Ipswich Town home fixture tomorrow (Saturday) to renew at ‘Earlybird’ prices, previously advertised at an average increase of around three per cent.

Sales have averaged around 800 per day during this week, so Watford could be looking at around 8,500 season tickets having been renewed by the end of tomorrow’s matchday.

There are currently just over 12,000 season-ticket holders, with renewals possible online, over the phone to the ticket office or by visiting the matchday ticket office under the Rookery Stand.

Once all supporters have been served after the Ipswich Town full-time whistle, ticket office doors will close and season ticket sales will be suspended until Friday, April 25 – allowing new prices to be published and loaded into the club’s ticketing system.

So if you don't have one, get online and commit to supporting the Golden Boys next season.

Back in the eighties whenever I would get home after Watford had lost, my late father (god bless) who had not been to the match would comment that we need a new keeper (because we had conceaded).

As I used to say to him in reply, unless you go your opinion doesn't mean anything. The same applies on here really, unless you live abroad.

The keeper in question was Steve Sherwood mind, so maybe he had a point.

Old Steve Sherwood did fumble a few catches. So come on fellow Golden Boys, it may not always be good, we may not always win, but those extra voices may be the difference next season.
In addition may also be the difference as to the quality of players we can afford to get.
The Pozzo's are doing their bit now is our turn!!!

I would imagine that a lot of the no-show (on a regular basis) season ticket holders are the ones that won't renew. They were probably hoping to jump on the premier league bandwagon. More power to the rest of us, perhaps!?

I'm renewing. Plenty of reason to believe we'll have a very good season, and I think that Beppo could do well if retained. But no more bets from me on winning the title this time!

Despite living nearly 100 miles from Watford, I have always attended 8-10 games a season. However, I am one of those that jumped on the Premier League bandwagon, and got a season ticket for 2013/14. This season has been frustrating, but I have renewed. I can see where the club is going and want to be part of it.

Good old Steve much under rated. He saw off a few contenders for the goal keepers shirt. I remember away to Arsenal in our first top flight season he won us the game with one of the best keeping displays I have seen.

Expectations seem to be lower amongst the so-called Watford fans that will not renew for next season? How can anyone not renew this eason unless the economic crisis that we are still in as a reason why? Unless of course the are disenchanted by the new business model of bringing in rubbish loan players. This needs to change but I will be there next season and many seasons more I hope. When the Met Line works are done I shall be in heaven. No long walks to Watford Met, as is, or the mile walk from where I can park my car.

Well said allgood, Steve Sherwood had about 5 great seasons taking us from Div 4 to runners up in div 1, before having a dodgy season. Watford Legend!
