Fans asked to support campaign with Watford versus Ipswich Town close to a sell-out
Watford have again highlighted their 'Say No To No-Shows' campaign with Saturday's home match against Ipswich Town expected to be a sell-out.
It appears the Hornets will buzz to Vicarage Road in their droves this Easter weekend with the Championship season nearing its climax.
Only restricted view seats remain for Saturday's contest as the Hornets make a final push for the top six.
‘Say No To No-Shows’ was set up by the club this season and the Watford Observer was happy to support the campaign.
The aim is try to encourage season ticket holders who cannot make home games to contact the ticket office so their seats can be resold, with the proceeds going to charity.
The club say roughly 20 per cent of Hornets season ticket holders fail to attend each home fixture.
Anyone unable to attend Saturday’s game should e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with their name, Fan ID and seat details and the benefits will be split between Peace Hospice Care and Watford FC’s Community Sports & Education Trust.
Watford sit seven points behind Ipswich, Brighton & Hove Albion and Reading, who currently occupy the final play-off place, with five matches left to play and a game in hand. Two victories against Ipswich and QPR on Monday would give the Golden Boys an outside chance of still breaking into the play-offs.
