Beppe Sannino played down suggestions of a spat with Ian Holloway following Watford’s 2-2 draw at Millwall yesterday.
Tensions appeared to be simmering between the two bosses after they looked to exchanges words early in the game when the Millwall manager took exception to Davide Faraoni’s part in a free-kick that was awarded in his favour, suggesting the Hornets wing-back had dived.
The Hornets looked to have the game won when Almen Abdi scored a late goal after Steve Morison had cancelled out Lewis McGugan's first-half effort, but the visitors were again guilty of letting two points slip in injury time when Martyn Woolford equalised.
Asked if he was unhappy with Holloway after the game and why, Sannino responded: “I was not watching Ian Holloway during the game. I’m expecting that everybody play the game with fair play and education but I was not focused on him, I was focused on the game and I watched my team, that’s all.
“I don’t like to speak about him. He’s the Millwall manager. He will speak about Millwall. I hope for the best for him this season.”
