TAKEOVER talk at Adams Park isn't playing on the Wanderers players' minds, club captain Stuart Lewis insists.

No fewer than three parties are interested in taking a 75 per cent controlling interest in the club, with talks with one of the consortiums beginning in November.

Talks have dragged on over the last two months, when that group signed non binding heads of agreement with the Wycombe Wanderers Trust, and that's coincided with a run of poor results on the pitch.

But Lewis said his aim is to keep his team mates' minds on the job in hand as Blues face five cup finals in their fight for survival between now and the end of the season.

He said: "We are concentrated on staying up. Whatever happens off the field happens, but we've got to deal with our thing, which is winning games.

"Whatever happens with takeovers and different bits and bobs, we've got to make sure we're a Football League club at the end of the season. As captain, that's something I've got to do - make sure the players are focused on each game.

"Sometimes stuff like this happening can bring the boys closer and I think that was shown on Saturday.

"We are all pulling together now. Everyone's got to come together in the next two or three weeks, because it's important for us."

Lewis added: "It's very clichéd but it's five massive games. Each one of them is a cup final. Apart from Fleetwood everyone is in and around us. We've got to take each game individually and attack each one.

"If we get a good result Saturday and other people don't, it's going to be tightened up."
