Cristian Battocchio will undergo a scan on the knee injury he suffered against Burnley tomorrow and the midfielder is one of four players ruled out of the Hornets' Championship clash with Leeds United.

The Italian Under-21 international was stretchered off after 43 minutes of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with the Clarets after he collided with Ben Mee.

He was taken straight to hospital and the Hornets’ doctor and club doctor and medical staff saw him after the match.

Battocchio was able to go home in a leg brace and on crutches buts definitely out of tomorrow’s game against Leeds.

Lloyd Doyley is unavailable due to an ankle injury and Park Chu-Young will also be missing as he continues to recover from a toe injury which is likely to keep him out for another couple of weeks.

Fernando Forestieri, who has been absent since the Hornets’ 2-1 defeat to Doncaster Rovers on March 11, has began jogging after a toe injury but isn’t ready to return.

Fitz Hall hasn’t featured for Watford since February but he played for 45 minutes in a friendly against Northampton last Tuesday.

His fitness continues to improve following an Achilles injury but the centre-back is unlikely to be risked against the Whites.

Leeds have claimed just one victory in their last 11 league games and currently sit 16th in the table.

Brian McDermott’s side have struggled on their travels since Christmas and have just won once in ten Championship away matches.
