Watford went out of the FA Cup at the quarter-final stage, losing 2-1 to Arsenal in front of 28,000 at Vicarage Road.

Frank Stapleton's second-half brace gave the Gunners the lead, Malcolm Poskett hitting a consolation for the Hornets.
