CRYSTAL Palace loan winger Thomas Ince has been made to feel right at home in SE25 despite only being at the club for less than a month.
The 22-year-old joined from Championship side Blackpool as one of a clutch of deadline day signings at Selhurst Park and despite being away from his family, who still live in the north west, Ince is revelling in life in the capital.
He explained: “The lads have welcomed me so well and I feel at home already, even though I have only been here for three or four weeks.
“I live in Chester, which is only two hours on the train from Euston, so it is working out quite well as I can get home on a day off by about 4.30pm so the commute isn’t too bad.
“I am living in Canary Wharf for the rest of the time which is nice. I am enjoying myself.
“Everything is going well at the moment, I’m enjoying myself off the pitch and I think that transfers itself onto the pitch as well.
“I am working hard at improving and adapting to the Premier League and when I have finished doing that, you will see a completely different me and I will be a better player.”
Ince also explained how playing in front of the Palace faithful has added to his enjoyment of his time at the club so far.
“I didn’t think the fans could top the atmosphere against West Brom but they did today,” he said after Saturday’s loss to Manchester United.
“The best thing for me was when we were 2-0 down and the fans were still chanting.
“It’s fantastic and we are going to need that for the remaining 12 games.”
