Watford launched the Hornet Hotline, their first telephone new service, on 0898 700 272.
On the pitch, the team were crushed by an irrepressible Liverpool side for whom goalscorer John Barnes was substituted with the match safe.
Luther Blissett scored the first goal that the Reds had conceded in 11 games, but the visitors recorded a convincing 4-1 victory.
The defeat formed part of a run that saw the Hornets gain one point from nine home games.
