CRYSTAL Palace loanee Thomas Ince insists Eagles fans have a huge part to play in helping the club stave off relegation.

The 22-year-old made his debut in Saturday’s 3-1 victory over fellow strugglers West Brom and was suitably impressed by the atmosphere created from the stands at Selhurst Park.

The win made it 16 points from a possible 21 at home since Tony Pulis took over in November and Ince believes the club’s vocal support has played a big part in the impressive turn around in fortunes.

He said: “Whenever I’ve played here the place has been rocking and when you’re in a Palace shirt it feels ten times better, so to have that sort of atmosphere is fantastic.

“The entire crowd didn’t stop singing for the whole 90 minutes and we’re going to need that spirit for the remaining games home and away.

“Our home form is fantastic, Selhurst Park is a real fortress and we have to make sure it remains one.

“The away games will be tough but we know now that we have the pace up front and solidity in defence to be dangerous.

“Everton will be a stern test for us on Wednesday but it’s a game we’re relishing and we have high hopes.”
