Leyton Orient are signing goalkeeper Shwan Jalal on loan from Bournemouth after revealing Ben Alnwick will be unavailable for selection.
Jalal trained with the O’s today and will be available to face Peterborough United tomorrow as the loan window re-opens at midnight.
The temporary acquisition comes after the club released a brief statement about Alnwick.
It read: “Ben Alnwick will be away from the club for a period of time having been signed off on medical grounds.
“Alnwick only joined Orient from Charlton last week but a personal situation has arisen in the last few days which is currently preventing him from training or playing matches.
“We will be making no further comment on the situation at this time.”
Orient’s new 30-year-old keeper has been at the Goldsands Stadium for four years and has made 170 appearances, but has yet to feature for the Cherries this season.
