Watford boss believes it could be tougher for Daniel Tozser second time around

Beppe Sannino believes "heart and adrenaline" helped new Watford signing Daniel Tozser impress during his debut and that the new Watford signing will find his second match more difficult.

The experienced Hungary international had not played a competitive game all season prior to joining the Hornets on loan from Genoa last week.

However, the ex-Genk captain impressed in the holding midfield role on Sunday and was part of a side which largely nullified Brighton & Hove Albion's threat.

After the match, Sannino said: "Tozser gave us some more options in the middle. I am sure the next game will be tougher for him because in the first game you play for your new club, you end up playing with your heart and adrenaline. But as he has not been playing much before today, the next game could be tougher because of fitness. We will watch him in the coming week and work with him."

Tozser started his career at Debrecen and joined Galatasaray in his teens but was unable to break into the team at the Turkish club.

The 28-year-old returned to his native Hungary with Ferencváros and scored four goals in 60 appearances during his two-year stay at the Budapest club.

AEK Athens signed the player in 2006, where he tasted Champions League football for the first time. He made 56 outings and scored three goals during two years at the club.

In 2008 Belgian side Genk reportedly paid around €1.5m to sign the defensive midfielder, who can also play on the left side.

During his four-year stay at the club, he made 159 appearances and scored 22 goals, where he again featured in the Champions League.

Genoa beat a few Italian clubs to sign Tozser in 2012 but after 22 outings last season, he had only been an unused sub on five occasions during this campaign.

Hmmm, a valid point by Sannino

To keep Tozser's adrenaline flowing for the Leicester game i think Beppe should just sit him down with a recording of Knockart's dive last season then this season's match at Vicarage Road. That ought to do it.

Oh and then show him what happened after Knockart's dive to send him out onto the pitch all fired up.

This guy Tozser seems quality to me . He is that bit of grit to add to the midfield polish.
.Personally I can't wait for the team to gel and get firing on all cylinders . I know it will come I just hope it is in time for a play off place . We have a great group of players here, just waiting for things to click in place. Then just watch us go. If we get a good result against Leicester that could be the spur we need . COYH

He seems the midfield general we have been missing for quite a while
Hope we can go on a winning run into the playoffs- crying shame we didn't go up last season- and I'm getting fed up of seeing Hull celebrating on MoTD- as well as being sick of the sight of our former 'super' Kev !!

Think we'll need to win about 14 out of 19 to get into top 6. Might be too much but let's end on a good run to set us up for next season.

Remember when we won 9 of the last 10 under GT , sneaked in the back door then won the play offs ...

Remember only too well. Back when Tommy was on fire! Would be great but I think it's a real long shot for this season given we've still lost more than we've won.

There is an air of class about this guy. Clearly only time will tell but he is certainly being thrown in the deep end this coming Saturday. It will be interesting to see how he copes with a club currently on fire. However, over the coming weeks I expect that he will become a regular in the team line up and add some much needed steel and quality in midfield. For once Nani you may have just got it right!

Fully agree.

Looks a class player, which can only assist our late charge for the play offs?

I really think we can beat Leicester on Saturday. I think we look a lot more balanced in midfield with Toszer and Merkel and our defence is a lot more solid with Fitz Hall. I reckon we can scrape a 1-0!

Somehow this hasn't been reported but we have actually signed Aslan from Narnia. With him in the holding role I would expect a 3 or 4 goal win.....

It might be a big ask for play offs but its not impossible and as stated above we did it before . I too agree with the Captain we can get a result on Saturday , we can beat ANYONE in this league . Any way I love to dream. And if my dreams don't come true then hopefully we can do what Leicester have done and re-group and come out and take the championship by storm.
