Two professional goalkeepers have expressed their excitement about helping provide a free coaching session for children in the Watford area.

Brentford's David Button and his team-mate Richard Lee, who spent 18 years at Watford before joining the Bees, will be attending GK Icon Watford's Open Session on Friday at Evergreen FC, in Southway, Abbots Langley.

There will be three hour-long sessions between 6pm and 9pm on the night depending on the age groups of interested keepers.

Lee said: "Our GK Icon Watford centre has been running for several years now and has already helped many goalkeepers achieve great things. I'm really looking forward to seeing some new faces on the seventh as well as catching up with some of the familiar ones. We have a fantastic coach at Watford in the shape of ex-professional goalkeeper Gary Phillips and I've no doubt that it'll be a fun-filled evening."

GK Icon, which was set up by Lee, provides goalkeeper coaching and has centres across the UK and other countries, including the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

And former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Button added: "GK Icon offers unique training which is really important for goalkeepers today. I'm looking forward to their Open Session in Watford, it will be great to meet the young keepers and see their potential."
