Watford have signed Arsenal forward Park Chu-Young on loan until the end of the season, subject to Premier League clearance.

The Hornets have been trying to sign a forward for the whole of the January transfer window and sealed a deal for 28-year-old just before tonight’s 11pm deadline.

Just in time. Having lost Fabbrini we certainly need another striker. I am just a bit concerned about the number of loanees. Will they be fully committed to what could be a relegation struggle? Hopefully some at least will be out to prove themselves to their mother clubs. We could be in for a bumpy ride for the rest of the season.

Without ever having seen this fella, I'm not displeased with the last couple of days' deals overall

SANTOS: wasn't doing it and we're inundated in midfielder
FABBRINI: wasn't doing it either. Feel a bit for him because he's obviously got skill and he was only ever getting ten minutes here, fifteen minutes there... but a loan out to, I would think, keep his value up. It's how the Pozzos operate.

TOSZER: great track record, Champions League experience, should help to shore things up a bit
PARK CHU-YOUNG: decent goal averages at FC Seoul, Monaco and internationally... might happen for him with us! Arsenal don't fork out £45/50k a week for a numpty generally - they're very prudent

Could be better, but could be a lot worse. Onwards and upwards!

Could prove a decent signing, some of his you tube goals look very good,
Fabrinni is clearly a talented young player that hasn't so far adapted to the championship, this lad isn't a youngster and is pretty experienced so overall in our current situation it looks like an improvement.

Aint our fault you are not passionate about Watford, iv been to lots of away games in the last year that show that the hard core of Watford support is as passionate as anyone in the country.

Home support is awful though, iv given up going even though I can get free tickets off a mate in the club, being told to sit down all the time and reported to stewards for singing or standing up isnt great.

Speaking as a gooner he is never going to get into our team, on the odd occaision he has had 5 or 10 minutes on the pitch he looked like a fish out of water. One of Wengers mistakes, to be honest I cant see how he's going to help Watford. Has played so little football he may have to be reminded of what to do.

No I'd be fine with you having Bendtner. In the summer window even Crystal Palace didnt want him and took Chamak instead. We only still have him because no one else wants him. Bendtner is good in the air but a very poor first touch on the ground. As you say though he may do ok in the championship, could be more his level

We can still sign Vydra but only once the emergency loan window opens in a few days. A player can only play for 3 clubs in one season if one of them is classed as an emergency loan so he wasn't going to go anywhere in January. That will be the only hope we have to seem him back at The Vic this season, along with bob hope and no hope.

Instead of relying on a mate for a freebie, buy yourself a seat in the singing section. It's a decent atmosphere in and around that corner and you will enjoy yourself and no one can tell you to sit down either.

Now the dust has settled bit how about a bit realism.
Last Saturday anybody who bothered to go saw a Watford midfield (particularly Murray and Batachio) run them selves into the ground in what was an unbelievable performance.
Five days later the whole team is apparently S---.
It is nothing to do with commitment or effort it is about individual mistakes.
Saturday we closed city down in their own half and did the same against Forest until l fessi went off and that gave both teams time to play the ball forward.
Last season we had Hoban and Hall who both attacked any ball played into the box, this year Almunia has been hesitant and our defence has been unable to defend any ball into the box.
I love watching Angella bring the ball out of defence, he is a class act but we definitely need to defend balls into the box better.

Dear Cliff,, actually he's one of our players, you only have him on loan and my comment which you can't see the humour in was aimed at Koreans and their pooch on a plate ways generally rather than specifically against the young Arsenal striker. Unfortunatly you are clearly not well enough adjusted to see that. I hope he does well at Watford and whilst I am primarily an Arsenal fan I live in Watford and take an interest in the local team and like to see them do well.
I believe you also took a young Spanish full back from us on loan a little while ago, I would be interested to know if he's played yet and hows he getting on?
You have referred to me as "little" a couple of times, whilst I am flattered I'm not sure you would say that if you had met me. I'm afraid I havn't really got much time for you ultra brave keyboard warrior types who like to pick online fights for the sake of it and use any small reason such as someone being a fan of another team or trying to inject a little fun into this dreary old world. Grow up Cliff.

Dear Annoyed again.
I didn't say he was our player, only that he was a new player that hadn't stepped on to our pitch at the time of writing, incidentally you refer to him as young whereas he will be 28 in a few months time. He is certainly extremely young compared to me but not young for a footballer.
If you have been following this site for any period of time you will never have seen me picking any on line fights, on this occasion however I didn't like your contribution and feel fully entitled to say so----as of course are you.
I've seen Hector Belllerin play a few games for us and have been hugely impressed, he is clearly going to be a big big player for you in a few years.
On a conciliatory note I actually admire Wenger and hope you win the premiership this season.
