Former Hornets winger Will Buckley will miss Brighton & Hove Albion’s trip to Vicarage Road tomorrow – as will several players with Watford links.

Buckley, who has made 19 appearances this season, has not played since December 29 due to a hamstring injury.

Watford-born Craig Mackail-Smith is still not fit following Achilles and ankle injuries and fellow striker Will Hoskins, who spent three years with the Hornets, is back training but still not ready after almost a year out with a serious knee injury.

Ex-Golden Boys loanee Liam Bridcutt has also this week left Brighton to join Premier League side Sunderland.

Brighton will be without Andrew Crofts due to a knee injury but new signings Dale Stephens and David Rodriguez could feature.

The Seagulls, who are eighth in the Championship, have the best away defensive record in the league, having kept eight clean sheets on the road, but only four teams have scored less than their 11 away goals.
