Watford have confirmed the loan signing of Hungarian international Daniel Tozser tonight, subject to international clearance.

The 28-year-old defensive midfielder moves to the Hornets from Genoa for the rest of the season and will wear the number 28 shirt vacated by Connor Smith, who is out on loan at Gillingham for the remainder of the campaign.

We reported earlier today that the Serie A club had reached agreement with Watford over Tozser's loan move and you can read more about the player's career by clicking on the related link below.

Top top quality player if he rediscovers his Genk form. Hopefully it is with a view to a permanent summer signing if it works out well for all.

And at 1.87 metres he adds more much needed height to the spine of the team. Could be a key signing and if the three January signings can get match fit in the next three weeks the season still has some promise.

Happy with this, hope we drop interest in the qpr lad now as it would be harsh on ireney Murray and especially Battocchio if 3 midfielders came in during the window

A striker though .... Yes please

Don't think that's going to come off Interlude:-

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis has moved for Sochaux’s Cedric Bakambu. French striker Bakambu, 22, would be available for around £3million and has attracted interest from Newcastle this month.

Hopefully we have a sizeable sell on percentage coming Watford's way if he gets sold. I would have thought he was maybe worth £2M.

This guy look like a good player with an excellent left foot and at just under 6 feet tall some much needed height too but best of all is he is experienced so I'm hoping for Abdi like greatness!

Ironically Iriney was looking the part just before his injury but not sure if this guy is match fit so still short of a natural DMF for a game or two.

As for the pacy young French striker as others have mentioned he is more likely to go to a PL club - although if he knew his geography then Stoke or South London would not be preferable to leafy Hertfordshire.....

Asking price is 3 million so he certainly will not be coming here
