Watford beat Swindon Town 4-0 at Vicarage Road, with two from Tom Walters, one from George Johnson and a Tom Morgan penalty.
The victory was the Blues' tenth league game without defeat and left them on top of the third divison (south).
Defeat in the subsequent trip to Aldershot, however, saw Watford surrender top spot, and they failed to regan pole position for the rest of the campaign, eventually finishing in fourth place.
