Former Hornets goalkeeper Richard Lee and his Brentford team-mate David Button will be providing free coaching to youngsters in the Watford area next week.
Lee and Button, who is an ex-Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper, will be meeting young players, parents and managers on Friday, February 7 as part of Gk Icon Watford’s open session at Evergreen FC, in Southway, Abbots Langley.
GK Icon, which was set up by former Watford shot-stopper Lee, provides goalkeeper coaching and has centres across the UK and other countries, including the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Jade Brooks, who helps run several GK Icon centres and is organising the open session, said: “It will be a great opportunity for players, managers and parents to get an insight into the fantastic training that GK Icon offers.
“Those players attending this free taster session will be able to speak to professional keepers in Brentford FC's David Button and Richard Lee. They will be there for the evening to answer any questions and give some hints and tips to potential keepers.”
There will be three hour-long sessions between 6pm and 9pm on the night depending on the age groups of interested keepers.
