Beppe Sannino's pride at blooding Watford's first-year scholars Harry Kyprianou and Tom Rosenthal

Beppe Sannino says he was proud to hand first-year scholar Harry Kyprianou a place on Watford's substitute bench at Bristol City.

Hector Bellerin's ineligibility and injuries to Ikechi Anya and Daniel Pudil meant Kyprianou and fellow first-year scholar Tom Rosenthal were included in the Hornets' travelling party for the FA Cup tie at Ashton Gate.

Rosenthal didn't join Kyprianou on the substitutes bench in the final match-day 18 but there were six academy products in the squad - and ten home-grown players in total.

When asked about Kyprianou's inclusion, Sannino said: "I like it so much when young players have these opportunities to join the first team and have the experience of being involved in the FA Cup. I am proud of that."

I see Millwall have appointed Hollowhead as manager. This is the kind of appointment we should have made. Someone who speaks English and knows this division inside out and has a track record of promotion.

I remain unconvinced about this new manger. He has stopped the rot but only 1 win in 4 and unable to beat a very lowly placed Div 1 team. Can't see much above mid table this season.

look at the squad he had available - we are missing key players through injury and a particular striker went missing on Saturday - hurry back Fernando - get Batto playing behind him - Merkel - Abdi et al and we will surge up the league --
Lets just be thankful the team bottled it at Wembley

I think you may change your mind Hogg come the end of this season . Sannino seems a decent manager to me ,we have a good squad with two new players to throw into the mix. We have great owners who want us to succeed both off and on the pitch.
We are in the Pozzo business model now and I for one am all for it. I say embrace the change it matters little if the manager can't speak English . If Holloway took over could he be understood by all the team . No probably not but like Beppe he would make his wishes known ,through our bilingual players/staff. COYH

Surely having to have a manager that speaks English would rule Holloway out!!
