Bristol City are confident tomorrow’s FA Cup tie with Watford will go ahead and do not have a pitch inspection planned.

A statement on the club’s website read: “Bristol City officials are confident tomorrow’s FA Cup with Budweiser third round match against Watford will go ahead as planned.

“Despite the recent downpours, the Ashton Gate pitch is fine and playable.

“The club will cover the pitch this afternoon as a precaution but envisage no issues.

“No pitch inspection is planned.”

But Yeovil covered the pitch and it didn't go ahead. And unless they have water sucking machines the water will either sink through or they will have a nightmare trying to get ithe cover off
