Watford's Ikechi Anya and Fernando Forestieri are doubts for tomorrow’s Championship match at Yeovil Town

Ikechi Anya and Fernando Forestieri are doubts for tomorrow’s Championship match at Yeovil Town and Beppe Sannino says players “have to be 100 per cent” to implement Watford’s game plan.

The duo missed the 0-0 draw against Queens Park Rangers and are rated 50/50 for the trip to Huish Park.

Sannino explained after Sunday’s stalemate: “Forestieri had a knock on his knee and Ikechi had a tight groin so it was precautionary. So we have to assess them daily.”

He continued: “When you play this kind of physical game, you have to be 100 per cent. Forestieri was great in his last game but he was fouled a lot and had a lot of knocks.

“Ikechi also was tired and I prefer to have players who can do 90 minutes rather than be substituted, which changes the game.”

Daniel Pudil will definitely miss the match with a hamstring injury while Davide Faraoni is also ruled out with an ankle problem.

Almen Abdi (foot) Essaid Belkalem (ankle) and Tommie Hoban (ankle) are all long-term absentees.

Indeed mate, the fringe players need to take their opportunities to impress. Not good to see that Abdi is back on the 'long term absentee' list, and hoping that Anya's and FF's injuries are not the same as Gareth Bale's mysterious injury which he suffered shortly before his transfer from Spurs, if you catch my drift.
The conspiracy theorists amongst us might have something to say on the matter.
Hoping for 3 points tomorrow and, if I may be greedy, perhaps another clean sheet. COYH.

So it would suit Watford if the game were postponed. Although the pitch is covered, that wouldn't save it if the stadium were flooded. How likely is that?

I think that the lads will want to prove that Yeovil result well and truly behind them .Whoever plays on Wednesday will be up for it ,if not for their pride (no disrespect to Yeovil) then for the new manager.
I suspect a reversal of the score at the Vic if not more . We need to get that goal difference up. If we can keep a clean sheet then things will only get better . On our day we can beat anyone in this division , we can score goals and now we can keep clean sheets a recipe for promotion . COYH

Sorry folks. I needed to sign in. In the past I have written a whopping tome, but had not signed in; consequently upon signing in, the ''tome'' vanished!!! So today I hit any key ''t'' as it happened just to be able to do the necessary. Then though I got completely side tracked by an article in the Guardian and decided to comment on there.

What a turgid and boring team you have become. One shot on target and all you lot are so happy that your horrible team defend well. I will be surprised if you stay up this season. Just think how you celebrated when you beat Leicester in the play-offs, and how things are now.
You have quite a few big defeats to come. League One here you go!!!!!

Turgid and boring you may feel us to be, but if would rather be in our club which is being run and managed by prudent experienced owners than the likes of Bolton who lost over £50million last season based on a turnover of £28 million, I suspect the likes of Leicester and Forest are going the same way chasing a dream of premiership glory and over paying wages. We have a new manager in place who ,like our owners has not yet put a foot wrong (albeit in only three games to date) so jog on and enjoy your own club and we will do likewise

I suspect Nosworthy will be leaving before Anya or Foresetieri. He must be on high wages compared to most, and with Doyley fit, Hall on pay when you play and Hoban due back by playoff time, I reckon he is unlikely to get another contract. Anya is likely to be a summer sale. Yeovil is on sky so will be watching in the pub, hoping for 3 points, but have a £1 on a 1:1 draw

Where have all these transfer rumours come from? The gaffer has highlighted the performance of Fessi recently, and Anya is our speed king. Sounds like nonsense to me. It's not the way to get promoted, is it?

Chris the Vic says...

The way for us to get promotion is to win.

and to win on a regular basis we need fit players.

at present too many get injuries and then it seems in many cases to take a month of sundays to get them fit.

Suggestion is we use the doc as a permanent interpreter, get a new treatment area with new medical staff and equipment and get Almen fit asap. Too many times they have predicted he will be back and certainly no later than mid December in readiness for the Christmas games. inaccurate...inept..
..incapable are words that now describe the injury list and treatment....Pozzos sort it it is wrecking everything else you have done so well

My sources tell me both will leave this week ...

Expect Lopez to join merkel and ranegie with wing backs remaining the same as long as arsenal extend bellerin's loan!!!

This is the pozzo way, if a bid exceeds market value they will sell and trust their scouting network to replace with equal or better talent.

Keep the faith!
