WANDERERS skipper Stuart Lewis dedicated Saturday's victory over Northampton Town to manager Gareth Ainsworth.

The Blues boss came under increasing fan pressure as Wanderers failed to win for eight matches, but that run came to an emphatic finish as they thrashed the Cobblers 4-1.

Lewis was among the goalscorers and the midfielder said he was glad he could play a part in securing a key win for his manager.

He said: "That win was for Gaz. He's had his critics as well. As the captain and as a group of players we said that's for Gaz. No one sees what he puts in and his effort. He's been a leader for me personally for three years and that was for him today."
