Former Leyton Orient player and assistant manager Dean Smith does not think the O's will maintain their current form throughout the season.

The Walsall manager takes his side to Brisbane Road this weekend for their FA Cup second round tie and believes Orient will find it hard to keep their excellent run going until May.

Smith told the Express and Star:  “I think Orient are a surprise package, they’ve carried their momentum on from the end of last season.

“I expected them to do well but not as well as they are doing – and I think they would probably admit to that too.

“But I don’t expect Orient to go and win ten out of the next 13, which is the kind of record they have been on.”
