ANTHONY Stewart will be back for Wanderers tonight after the defender had his red card rescinded.

Stewart was shown a straight red card after conceding a penalty that led to the crucial second goal in Saturday's defeat at Dagenham and Redbridge.

Blues appealed against the dismissal and have had it upheld, meaning Stewart is available to feature against managerless Portsmouth as Wanderers aim to get back to winning ways.

Wycombe haven't won for six matches but manager Gareth Ainsworth is still confident his men can come away from Fratton Park with a victory.

He said: "I wouldn't be any other way. The day I don't think we can go and win a game is the day I shouldn't be in the job.

"I believe we can go there on Wednesday and pick up where we left off today and pick up where we left off at Fratton Park last time, and really give them a good game."

Tonight's match is a rearranged fixture after the original tie was abandoned at half time due to a waterlogged pitch.

The score was level at 1-1 thanks to a goal from Billy Knott, and the Sunderland loanee should be able to play tonight.

He missed Saturday's defeat after falling ill on the morning of the game, but has now recovered in time to face Pompey.

Sam Wood, who was another absentee with a groin injury, should also be available, as should striker Steven Craig, who had to come off after injuring his shoulder against Dagenham.
