Boxing Day kick off time brought forward
KICK off time for Wanderers' Boxing Day game against Newport County at Adams Park has been brought forward to 12.30pm.
The club hope to attract more families to the game after consulting on the new kick off time with officials from the Welsh club and both sides' managers.
Blues had also hoped to avoid a clash with a televised Premier League clash which kicked off at 3pm - but after having their kick off change ratified by the Football League, another top flight game was rescheduled for 12.45pm.
Wanderers said in a statement: "It is thought that an earlier kick-off will encourage families to come to the game and then be able to spend the afternoon together after the game, rather than be forced into making the choice between attending the game and spending time socially. It will also enable visiting Newport County fans to return home at a sociable hour.
"The club appreciates that supporters will have personal preferences for this day but the decision to move the kick-off time has been made with the best intentions of accommodating the maximum number of fans."
Two other League Two fixtures will kick off at a different time to the traditional 3pm start, as will four matches in the Championship and two in League One.
