Generals keep winning run going
CHESHAM United have the chance to take an outright lead in the Southern Premier League tomorrow night after clocking up a fourth straight win on Saturday.
A 3-1 home win over Redditch United saw the Generals draw level on points with leaders Hemel Hempstead, who were in FA Cup action at the weekend.
Avoiding defeat at Bashley - who Chesham have already beaten 4-1 this season - tomorrow night will mean United will overtake their near neighbours at the summit, although Hemel will then have two games in hand.
The league's top scorer Drew Roberts took his tally for the season to 13 by opening the scoring, before Chris Dillon and James Potton also scored before Redditch pulled one back with a late penalty.
In the Southern Central Division Scott Fitzgerald scored a brace as Chalfont St Peter recorded a rare victory by winning 3-2 at Uxbridge.
But there were defeats for Marlow - beaten 2-0 at Dunstable - and Beaconsfield SYCOB, who lost 2-0 at home to St Ives Town.
SYCOB host Rugby Town tonight while Chalfont are at home to Slough tomorrow night.
