Two new faces join Blues board
WANDERERS have appointed what they believe to be one of the Football League's youngest directors after welcoming two new faces to the club's board.
Blues announced this morning that 26-year-old Matt Cecil has joined the club's board with immediate effect - as has Wycombe Wanderers Trust board member and communications director David Cook.
They join chairman Don Woodward and fellow directors David Roberton and John Derben on the Wanderers board.
Mr Cecil is a well-known face to Wanderers fans from doing matchday announcements at Adams Park, and having also previously worked for the club as press officer. Blues believe he is one of the youngest directors at a Football League club.
Mr Cook has served on the board of Wycombe Wanderers Trust for nearly three years and has been actively involved in arranging the 125th Anniversary Exhibition at Wycombe Museum.
Chairman Don Woodward told the Wanderers official website: "The club has worked hard to achieve our current position of stability and now we want to move into a period of steady growth. Matt and David are two talented individuals who can make significant contributions by bringing fresh ideas and I’m delighted that they have agreed to join the board.
"Bringing somebody of Matt’s age into the club shows that we are forward-thinking and want to embrace new approaches when it comes to attracting new fans.
"Each director on the board has a particular set of skills and we’re in a good place to push forward on and off the pitch."
