Hat-trick: Walton Athletics Club's Helen Channon claimed three titles at the British Masters Athletics Federations championships in Birmingham last weekend
Walton Athletics Club's Helen Channon claimed a British Masters Athletics Federation championships track and field hat-trick over the weekend.
The Cobham 36-year-old won the women's over 35s 100m and long jump crown at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on Saturday, before adding the 200m title to her haul 24 hours later.
Channon, whose sisters Lizzie Amos and Susie McLoughlin also compete for Walton, clocked 12.73 seconds to win the 100m, before stopping the clock at 26.71secs for her 200m triumph.
Her leap of 5.33m was some way short of her personal best, but was enough to claim the gold medal.
It meant she earned household bragging rights as husband Stuart, 37, finished sixth in the men's over 35s 100m in a time of 11.90secs and was fourth in the 200m, clocking 24.33secs.
His effort of 5.54m was only enough for third place in the long jump final.
Kingston AC & Polytechnic 53-year-old Pat Logan claimed a men's over50s sprint double winning the 100m in 11.87secs and the 200m in 24.89secs.
