11:45am Wednesday 11th September 2013 in Latest Sport
The Guardian Series is sponsoring Leyton Orient's home game against Port Vale on Saturday and there will be a host of pre-match activities on offer for supporters.
There will be a family fun day from 12pm at the SCORE Centre in Oliver Road.
Entertainment includes an inflatable bouncy castle and inflatable pole jousting, face painting and pop music.
Mascot Theo will be around after 1pm to pose for photographs with fans.
There will also be 1,000 copies of the souvenir edition of the Guardian Series given away on a first come, first served basis after the match.
Meanwhile, a new Orient book entitled ‘60 Great Games from the Tijuana Taxi Era’ is being released this week.
Author Martin Strong was born a few miles from Brisbane Road and has supported the O’s for 44 years. He has seen more than 1,000 Leyton Orient matches at over 130 different venues around the country.
Strong has been writing every month in The Leyton Orient-ear – the second longest running fanzine in the country – for 25 years, as well as writing occasionally for the Guardian Series.
The book, which focuses on the best games since 1968, is priced £12.99 and will be on sale in the Supporter’s Club on Saturday before and after the game.
