Ainsworth praises Knott's debut display
BLUES boss Gareth Ainsworth said Billy Knott will get better with more games after he excelled on his debut.
The on-loan Sunderland youngster added an extra dimension to Wanderers' play with a good eye for a pass and willingness to take players on in Blues' 2-2 draw at Oxford.
Ainsworth hailed Knott's performance as outstanding and hopes there's more to come from the England U21 international.
He said: "Billy's got things that are all about what I like in football. He's high intensity, high energy, likes to press, likes to tackle. He's got great quality on the ball and he's got a wand of a left foot.
"Hopefully that's just the start of what Billy can give to Wycombe Wanderers. He definitely adds to the squad and I can only see him getting better the more he settles in."
