Dunne deal sees Charles join Blues on loan after signing for Blackpool
CHARLES Dunne has joined Championship side Blackpool - but will stay at Adams Park for the rest of the season after a loan deal was also agreed.
The highly-rated defender agreed a move to the Championship club yesterday, having been on trial at Bloomfield Road earlier in the summer.
But the Seasiders have agreed to loan Dunne back to Wanderers for the remainder of the season to help continue his development.
Dunne, who last week was called up into the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for the first time, is eligible to play for Blues against Oxford United tomorrow after the deal was signed in time.
The fee for the transfer has been undisclosed by both sides.
Meanwhile Wanderers are set for a cash windfall after the long-mooted transfer of former player Matt Phillips was finally agreed today.
The ex Blues winger today signed for QPR from Blackpool. That transfer fee has also been undisclosed but it has been reported in the national media as being in the region of £5million.
Wanderers inserted a sell-on clause into the transfer deal when Phillips originally moved to Bloomfield Road in 2011.
