Angol form making him hard to ignore
LEE Angol's goalscoring form is making him hard to ignore, Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth said after the youngster netted on his return to non-league Hendon.
The teenager was quickly off the mark as he and Wycombe team mates Junior Morias and Charlie Horlock moved to the Ryman League outfit on Friday.
He's a man in form, having scored a hat trick in a pre season friendly against Burnham and a pair against Maidenhead United last week, and Ainsworth said he could force his way up the pecking order if he continues his scoring streak.
The Blues boss said: "Lee's done really well. He needs to toughen up, which I've said all along, and he is doing.
"If he keeps scoring it'll be hard to ignore him when he comes back. We'll see whereabouts he is - we've got good options for strikers at the moment and Lee's trying to get himself added to those selection problems I have."
Angol opened the scoring as all three Wycombe youngsters played in Hendon's 5-3 defeat by Maidstone United on Saturday.
He and Morias have joined the Greens on 28 day loan deals while goalkeeper Horlock will remain at Earlsfield until January.
Ainsworth said: "They have got seven games in a month, which is great for the young lads.
"Apparently all three of them did quite well even though they got quite a heavy defeat. Even Charlie, the manager said he was fantastic and it could have been more without him."
