Hornets keeper Jonathan Bond earned three more votes than Fernando Forestieri to win the Watford Observer's man-of-the-match poll after the 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday.
With 702 readers taking part in the ballot, Bond and Forestieri drew equal on the percentage vote, earning 40% each.
But a string of impressive saves from the young goalkeeper saw him win by 283 votes to Forestieri's 280, despite the Argentine striker scoring two goals in the second half.
The poll was largely a two-horse race but Nathaniel Chalobah's performance off the bench was recognised with 8% of the vote while Ikechi Anya was the next most popular choice with 7%.
There were also 35 readers (5%) who believed one of the other Watford players deserved to be man-of-the-match.

on another note, I have been away and want to know if there is any news on the return of Hoban and Hall,
personally I think we are at our best in defense when those two are playing.
