AUDIO: Listen to Wolves boss Dean Saunders' full post-match press conference following draw with Watford

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Dean Saunders says their late equaliser against Watford meant the draw felt like a victory but believes it was his team who should have won the contest despite the Hornets dominating possession.

Saunders praised Watford’s ability on the break and was pleased with his team’s performance in the first half, as he set his side up to sit deep in a bid to nullify the visitors’ threat.

The former Wales international was in a jovial mood after last night’s draw and said he was hoping Watford goalkeeper Jonathan Bond, who has also represented Wales at youth level, would “have a nightmare” but recognised the youngster had a “blinder” making some very good saves.

Listen to Saunders’ post-match press conference in full below.

Saunders, you have just identified why you haven't got Wolves ticking, with the exception of the last few minutes your team did nothing, but then if you removed your head from your butt you would see that, WWFC are ***** and will go down.

The only 'nightmare' to be had Deano, is your assessment of your side's performance.
We should've killed you off and you know it.

Strongly object to Skysports.com report. Had to mention yet again the 'the multitude' of Udinese loans and also said it was a 'soft' free kick decision. It wasn't.

I'd post a comment but they never publish them. Bitter and biased.

Exactly. The poor chap has forgotten what a win is, and what you have to do to achieve one. The only way is down with that attitude.

I work with a Wolves fan and he is resigned to going down, reckons Saunders hasn't got a clue and couldn't believe they appointed him in the first place. A point away at Wolves at the start of the season anyone? Yes, please - and we're still 2nd.

Just shows you what is wrong with WWFC if Saunders has that opinion. By all accounts they (WWFC) were one if not the worst teams we have played this season. It was our lack of clinical finishing that gave them a chance of a late point.

The rest of the season will have many twists and turns yet.

Dont get on the back of certain players, get behind the team and we will be OK.

COYH !

HILARIOUS, I would have posted earlier but I've only just managed to pick my fat butt back up off the floor through laughing so much at the interview. Fessi could have (should have) had a hatrick in the last 12 minutes and you thinbk you'did enough' to win??? Enjoy improving your golf handicap next season Saunders you tool

Was there another match on the tv last night? May be I was watching the wrong one because in the one I was watching, the team in blue were a class above the other team.

Does anyone here have comments published by Sky? They hate us. Look at match report. Full of comments by Wolves fans not one hornet. Lets start a campaign

Drew 1-1 away at Wolves in last promotion campaign and that was televised too! Have to take these omens after what feels like a defeat.

One of the least impressive interviews I have ever heard. It was like he was drunk, going on about St. David's Day and one of the players being Welsh. Will he last the season? I wouldn't put money on it.

Thought Saunders looked clueless as his team was played off the park.
We will learn from the result and it is now something like 3 defeats in 20 odd games I think I read somewhere, which is promotion form. Keep the faith and the support going all the way to the end.

Saunders has got his head up his a*s*. We should have been out of sight well before the end.

Excellent posts on here, agree with every one, no-one running our team down. Saunders "we deserved to win" should be on Mock the Week. Seems to be typical of managers who only see the game through rose coloured specs.
I even joined in their pre-match Moxey (or whatever his name is) protest, after covering up my scarf, or I might have got lynched. Had a great laugh over that. I was seen on local tv after the ten o clock news among the so-called Wolves fans. Carrots.

All sky sports can do is repeat the same old brown stuff every 15 minutes for what seems an eternity, they are thick and just pandering to those who haven't got a brain to think for themselves, I think for myself...it's called the off button on the remote.
