Yes unreserved seating will help increase the atmosphere! if we can get a regular 2,500 vocal fans in one section of the ground sat together then the singing will easily spread!
This is because we will be singing one song at one time that can be heard by all, maybe certain sections of the rous could join in too!
I can't see it happening this season but this must be of high priority for next seasons ticket and season ticket distribution! The club must decide on an area or areas of the ground that they want people to make noise and stick to it!
As I've said before, get kids and families in lower rous and middle section of rookery as vocal along with vic road end!

Absolutely spot on, I think most people's favourite would be Rookery End, but there are so many season ticket holders. So vic end has to be the choice at the moment. How good to get 2,000 odd Watford fans in The Vic End and a drummer leading it all. We have to make it louder at The Vic it's too quiet. It needs to be a couldren, if nothing will change before next season then lets ramp it up now. Come on boys start tomorrow.

It seams to me that people make more noise away from The Vic maybe because the feeling is different following your team to other places.. Somewhat more tribal.. Who remembers Liverpool away in early 80s- singing ej Taylor made army for nearly whole of second half non stop. Happy days, palace support last fri got them their point- supporters are worth a man

Last point & u may not believe this. Vince o'm was a pretty good Sunday footballer - right winger for the Antlers. Got a few red cards of course, but was a good crosser of the ball!!

I think the next game at the VIC should be a flat cap day, in respect of the old uns, we can then show them that they can sing, stand up and cheer even with old attire on.

I think it would be pretty embarrassing if we just stole another club's song - I think we've already done this with another song we heard at Palace - much to the amusement of my mates who think watford have the most generic chants ever, to which I can't really argue!

Whenever an away crowd for a team visiting the Vic sings a song unique to their team (not every team has one granted), I always feel a bit gutted that we don't have a song unique to Watford that is sang with such gusto.

I'm sure a few years ago we were more creative with songs, particularly about players we liked - nowadays the default is to just use the "de de de de Aidy Boothroyd" chant but interchange the latest player's name. I think the last creative player song I heard was the Clint Easton one a few years ago, even the players cracked up on first hearing!

I agree it's not ideal nicking another teams song. Just an idea !
I agree, I wish we had an 'anthem' like Leeds, Liverpool, West Ham, Palace. Although To be honest 50% of the teams don't have anything original and just sing different lyrics to the same old tunes, like us.
We need something original which everyone can sing, and it needs to be catchy and simple, like all good chants are.

Being an exiled Hornet fan for a number of years this is my only real way of keeping up to date with events.

Sounds like those attending Hornets games have in the main been treated to a totally different breed of fottball from even the glory days that I remember under GT.
