Contract talks ongoing at Blues Contract talks ongoing at Blues

WANDERERS are in contract talks with several players, Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth has revealed.

The contracts of a number of key players are up at the end of the season and Ainsworth is keen to keep them at Adams Park as his Wanderers revolution continues to gather pace.

He said after Saturday's 4-0 win over York City: "I don't want to give too much away but watch this space. They are in a great place at the moment and I'm sure the boys are happy here and hopefully we can put a few smiles on the fans' faces if news comes out in the next few weeks. But I don't want to pre-empt anything.

"I know who I want to keep here and I know what's important for this club."

Asked who he was in negotiations with, Ainsworth said: "That's between me and the club and the players. There are talks going on. If the lads are doing it right for me I'll reward them."

Wanderers chairman Don Woodward told the Bucks Free Press this week that the club is in talks with Ainsworth himself about extending his own contract.
