FIVE Wanderers players attracted January transfer window interest from other clubs - but no bids came in that matched Blues' valuation.
Chairman Don Woodward said some high profile clubs made enquiries about some of the players who've helped propel Wanderers up the table.
But he added Wanderers weren't in a position where they had to cash in and sell before the deadline passed at 11pm last Thursday.
Woodward said: "We made it clear what would have been an acceptable bid and what wouldn't be. The people engaged with us were saying, 'Yes we'll match that', and in one case saying we'll pay way over that bid because we want that player and we've got a particular need in that position. In the end we didn't get any. We didn't have a bid that matched our expectations.
"We had interest in five players and we were expecting bids on two of them.
"We were led to believe by half a dozen clubs bids would be made on at least two but they didn't come.
"There were management changes at clubs that had shown an interest up until that point. The management changes were very recent and that might have just scuppered things."
Woodward wouldn't be drawn on naming the five who'd attracted the interest but said they had been "seriously outperforming for age and expectation".
Manager Gareth Ainsworth said he was happy the January window had closed without anyone departing Adams Park.
He said: "Not losing anyone was a big plus for me.
"We value our players. We can't just give players away and we won't be doing that. They are part of a big future here and hopefully we can keep hold of them.
"I'm also a realist - if we did ever need to sell we probably would because we need to keep the club running.
"Other clubs have probably missed out not bidding for our players because I believe they can play higher."
In terms of bringing in new faces Ainsworth added: "There was never really anyone going to come in - we weren't even looking to be fair. I was always happy with what the squad can do and we've been proved right in the last few games with the way we've been playing. The performances have been immense."
