Russell Slade's side visit title challengers Doncaster this weekend
Leyton Orient face a stern challenge this weekend when they travel to second-placed Doncaster Rovers in League One.
The hosts are joint top of the table and in a strong position with Brian Flynn having been confirmed as manager until the end of the season following Dean Saunders' move to Wolves.
The two sides met back in September at Brisbane Road with goals from Iain Hume and David Cotterill.
Recent history does not bode well for Russell Slade's side who have not beaten Doncaster in their last seven meetings. But strangely enough their last win was an 8-0 thrashing back in 1997.
Orient will be boosted by the availability of new striker Charlie MacDonald after he was cup-tied for their midweek FA Cup defeat against Hull City.
Manager Slade said: "We’ve just got to wrap them up and put fresh legs in there again and go to Doncaster and just try to perform like we have done in the last three games.
“I haven’t known anything like our fixture list but we do seem to be relishing them.
“Whether Saturday becomes a bridge too far remains to be seen but the spirit is unreal and you’ve seen that again against Hull. It’s unquestionable and we just have to keep that going and try and pick up a bit of momentum.
“Who knows what we can do if we can put some wins back to back in the league.”
