Quins chief O'Shea warned over ref criticism
5:17pm Friday 11th January 2013 in Latest Sport
Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea has been issued with a written warning from the RFU over his future conduct after criticising referee Llyr ApGeraint-Roberts in the aftermath of his side's 31-26 win at London Welsh on Sunday.
O'Shea claimed the official was out of his depth in an interview with BBC London having been frustrated with ApGeraint-Roberts' performance at the Kassam stadium.
A written RFU statement also warned Leicester Tigers chief Richard Cockerill over comments he made after his side's win over Gloucester last month.
"We have urged both dfirectors of rugby to use the existing agreed feedback process and reminded them that questioning the integrity of referees in future may lead to their being charged with bringing the game into disrepute under RFU Rule 5.12," said the statement.
