Watford have refused to comment on their £2m bid for Manchester United midfielder Robbie Brady.
However, other sources have confirmed reports of the Hornets' bid, which was logged last week, are indeed true.
The Hull Daily Mail were the first publication to reveal Watford had attempted to secure the 20-year-old's services and the publication expect Brady to sign for the Tigers today, with Sunderland's David Meyler also set to move to the KC Stadium in a £1.5m move.
Brady has spent the majority of the last 18 months on loan at Hull during two separate spells. The Republic of Ireland international made 41 appearances last season, scoring three times, and after spending the beginning of the 2012/13 campaign back at Old Trafford, where he made his solitary United outing as a substitute in the Carling Cup, he has featured for Steve Bruce's Hull 12 times since he rejoined in November, with his only league goal of the season coming at Vicarage Road a month ago today.
News of Watford's £2m bid may come as a positive surprise to some Hornets supporters and could be seen as a sign of intent from the club's new owners the Pozzo family.
Watford made 16 summer signings but they included two free transfers and 14 loans, 12 of which came from the Pozzo's other clubs Udinese and Granada.
In the past Gino Pozzo has stated the Hornets would look to sign British-based players in the future but considering the club's large squad, a multi-million pound offer seemed unlikely in this transfer window.

Would rather spend £2M on a quality center half as that is where we need cover and consistency. But that said didn't think we had that sort of money so well pleased.
Consistency? Not sure about all of them.

Agree about Neuton, not a centre back, not in this division, too physical. Worth trying in other positions a bit further up the pitch where he's not going to cost us goals.

Good to see that the Pozzo's are looking to sign UK based players on this evidence...well hope so anyway. We mainly really need to snap up Vydra, Adbi, Forrestieri and Pudil plus possibly Cassetti, Geijo and Ekstrand on permanent deals asap though in my view....also like the look of Battalochio but we haven't really seen enough of him yet. Not sure about Anya....

Almunia is reasonable at this level, although his distribution is a bit hit and miss, especially when forced to pay the longer ball.
However, he is getting on and if we were to go up, I do not think would be up to the standard required. Bond is too young but a good prospect for seasons to come.

I also heard that the new owners like Jack Butland and with Birmingham nearing bankruptcy they might put in a cheaky offer.
From what I have heard 15 million has been put to the side for player recruitment over the next two seasons then we will be selling to buy, or using youth players.

Looks as though he is about to sign for Hull. If true though it certainly shows intent.

We've been linked apparently to Richmond Boakye of juventus who's on loan to sassulolo, but apparently his loan has ended .. Looks a good prospect .. Seems to be the perfect player that the pozzos will buy
I await abuse..Infact I demand it!
Btw Gianluca is now a minion, he's passed his first stage exam with flying colours with his top drawer www.peckerland.Com comment! I can't say it as he did as I would get banned by the scrupulously fair WO!

I'd give Neuton a punt in midfield, too skilful to discard without trial.
