Morgan extends Adams Park stay
DEAN Morgan will be staying at Adams Park until the end of the season after agreeing to extend his contract.
The 29-year-old has given Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth a welcome boost ahead of Saturday's game against his old club Chesterfield by extending his stay.
Morgan, who's scored five times in a series of all action displays, told the Wanderers website: "I’m enjoying myself, enjoying playing under Gaz and he gives me the freedom to play my game. I love all the boys too.
"It was a no-brainer – I’m 40 minutes from home and closer to my family and friends. When you’ve got a circle like that, you don’t want to break it."
Ainsworth said Morgan agreeing to stay until the end of the season was 'fantastic news'.
He told the club website: "It’s no secret that Dean’s been one of our biggest influences and it’s been superb how he’s conducted and applied himself in games.
"He’s had a couple of little niggles but when Dean Morgan’s fit, he’s a great player. He’s something that no-one else has in this division.
"It’s nice for me that’s he’s committed himself until the end of the season, hopefully he can kick on and we can get even more out of him."
Morgan was signed by former manager Gary Waddock after being released by Chesterfield at the end of last season.
He scored four times for the Spireites - including a brace at Adams Park in a 3-2 win for Wanderers - before ending the campaign on loan at Oxford United.
He then made his Wycombe debut away to his former club in a 3-1 defeat in September.
