Watford have just over 1,000 Manchester City FA Cup tickets left
10:11am Wednesday 12th December 2012 in Latest Sport By Glenn Baxter
Watford have reported that a total of 4,950 tickets have now been sold for their third round FA Cup tie against Manchester City.
This leaves just over 1,000 tickets left for the travelling Hornets’ fans. Tickets are only available for the Lower Tier after the club sold out their allocation for the Upper Tier a couple days ago.
The game against the Premier League champions is due to take place on Saturday, January 5.
The telesales hotline, which is for season ticket holders and regular match ticket purchasers, is 0844 248 5141 and for queries and discretionary sales it is 0844 856 1881.

The problem I have is that I have been to 5 away games this season but often buy tickets on the door to save booking fee at away games, which is quite siginificant when buying for yourself and kids and therefore don't meet the criteria.
Looking forward to Burnley on Saturday.
Anyone got any ideas how to stop kids jumping up when Watford score and we are sat in the away end (assuming I can borrow City membership cards from my kids friends!)?

Great to see so many tickets sold but gutted may well miss out sitting with the Watford fans. Live within five miles from the Etihad but may well miss out taking my two boys to the biggest game of the seaon.

I could not get to too many games as I work on Saturdays, but when I tried to get a ticket for the match against Spurs they would not sell me tickets because I was not a season ticket holder, despite the fact that they knew who I was and knew I advertised at the stadium. **** Annoying!
5 home or 5 away is harsh. I was season ticket holder for ten years before moving north of the border but that doesn't mean anything either. Just need to keep hoping there will be enough left on Friday or like some other posters sit in man city end...I'm sure they could release some more tickets now they know we will sell out, could even charge £25 and make a bigger profit?? City won't fill the ground for little old Watford.

Mate and I agreed that he would sort the tickets , me the train tickets for the City clash.
He wanted three for him , his grandson
( all season ticket holders ) and me ( non season ticket holder and rang Ticket Master. For some strange reason they told him he had only been to one match this year according to Watford FC database . He's actually been to ALL games . They then said he must have not been going through the right gate ( ???? ) . Strange as he always uses the nearest turnstile in the Vic . Then told he had better contact the club. Speechless , he rang me , language was a joy to behold and said he was on his way to the club. Went to the shop and found himself in a queue with about twenty irate fans all trying to and failed to buy through TravelMaster .
Eventually all three tickets sourced . Ironic really cos personally received an e mail from WFC Monday night saying that I could buy as attended more than 5 games this year. Would have season ticket but out of the country a lot.
I had the easier task , surfing the pages of Network rail. Got train tickets through Birmingham New Street for about half the price of Watford to Manchester direct and good times too.
I know that TicketMaster have strict rules to adhere too but if somebody forks out for a season ticket surely that entitles you to .............

And you feel entitled to sympathy because you don't qualify for a ticket to the Etihad?

Looks like I'm not making the cut then, but hey, them is the rules and those that spend money with the club deserve first dibs. Still think it was a bit harsh though.

I've got +5 ticket purchases this season and my dad has got 4. Telephoned today and even with all my boyish charm, still couldn't get my dad a ticket.

Leeds are taking the mick with their prices and when buying multiple tickets for a game £5/£10 per ticket over the odds is a lot of money.
Fortunately lots of other games in north west and Yorkshire to go to. Saturday can't come quick enough.
