Gareth Ainsworth has confirmed Jordan Archer will rejoin Wycombe Wanderers on loan
JORDAN Archer will rejoin Wanderers on loan after agreeing a deal until January, Gareth Ainsworth has confirmed.
The Scotland U21 international goalkeeper had a three match emergency loan spell at Adams Park earlier in the season and he has come back for another two months.
The Tottenham Hotspur player announced the move on Twitter yesterday, with caretaker manager Ainsworth confirming the move to the Bucks Free Press this morning.
He said: "We liked what we saw when he was here first time. He's highly rated at Spurs and we're lucky to have him."
With Matt Ingram leaving on loan last week Nikki Bull was left as the club's only fit senior goalkeeper, and Ainsworth said Archer has been signed as cover for Wycombe's usual number one.
He said: "There will be competition for the number one spot now. With Matt Ingram away at Oxford City it's going to be a big boost to the goalkeeping department."
